Geothermal Canada is a not-for-profit organization committed to advancing science and promoting geothermal research and development in Canada.
Serving Canada's geothermal community by stimulating technology transfer, knowledge exchange, and information transmission, it seeks to promote innovation in Canada in the field of geothermal research. Through fostering collaborative investigations in academia, companies, and organizations, innovation in the field of geothermal research will be supported and disseminated beyond the research community.
Join Us at RFG 2018!
Resources for Future Generations (RFG) is a 6-day conference in Vancouver, BC focused on the topics of the earth, education & youth, energy, minerals, resources, and water. It will take place June 16-21, 2018 and there are several sessions on geothermal energy.
Jasmin Raymond, our Easter Canada Director, is giving the Keynote Presentation for energy, water and minerals on Tuesday June 19th. He will present a broad overview of geothermal in Canada and speak on behalf of Geothermal Canada. The Plenary & Keynote Schedule can be found here.
There are geothermal sessions on June 18, June 20, and June 21, with presentations from Geothermal Canada board members and many other researchers and industry professionals.
Geothermal Canada Receptions & Awards
While we will be enjoying the RFG 2018 conference, Geothermal Canada will also be hosting a special General Meeting to honor Tim Sadlier-Brown, Andrew Nevin, and Alan Jessop for their significant contributions to the geothermal industry. The General Meeting will also include a reception and short business meeting. We welcome all to join us for this event!
