Geothermal Canada is pleased to announce the 2023 Student Scholarship and Award winners. Each award has a value of $1000 CAD.
The Student Conference Support is awarded to Shahab Ghasemi, University of Calgary.
The Student Scholarship is awarded to Fiona Chapman, INRS Institut national de la recherche scientifique
Chapman's and Ghasemi's abstract are both of interest for the geothermal community. Fiona’s paper; Heat Flow Assessment with Fibre-optic Cable in 385m and 220m Well, Southwestern Yukon, outlines a new exploration tool and Ghasemi’s paper; Experimental and Numerical Study of Heat Transfer in Pore-Scale demonstrates a novel technique.
