Virtual Talk July 2, 2021: Use of the Subsurface to Aid the Energy Transition, by Maurice Dusseault
Maurice Dusseault, Professor, Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Waterloo, will be giving a virtual talk on Friday, July 02, at 8:00 AM EST, (6:00 AM MST).
Rocks of intermediate depth (100-1000 m) and those in the deep (>1 km) subsurface represent an environmental resource to aid the energy transition and to achieve improved environmental outcomes. Intelligent use of the subsurface can, in many ways, reduce the C-intensity of energy sources while improving other environmental outcomes, such as waste disposal and water clean up.
