DEEP Earth Energy Production Corp. has successfully completed the FEED with a corresponding Feasibility study and report on its first geothermal power facility in southeast Saskatchewan. The facility’s nominal output is expected to be 32 MW and will produce up to 33.4 Megawatts (MW) net power during the winter and a minimum of 20 MW net power during the summer.

Geothermal Canada is excited to announce a new ‘Students’ Page’, which includes a Monthly Feature, Student Research, and geothermal Programs and Courses in Canada. We hope to continue building up these pages to support and promote geothermal research and development, and proudly present student research.

Geothermal Canada Annual General Meeting - June 23, 2021
Geothermal Canada will be hosting their 2020 Annual General Meeting on June 24, 2020 at 10:30am MT. Invitees are Geothermal Canada members in good standing eligible to vote. A member is not in good standing if their membership payment is over 6 months due. For the past 2 years, Geothermal Canada AGMs have coincided with major Canadian conferences to increase the number of attendees who can attend in person. This year, the AGM will be held electronically over Zoom. Members in good standing will receive a link.

Geothermal Canada is currently creating a new Students’ Page, which will include links to student research, information about programs and courses in Canada, and pages for student chapters which have been formed at several universities.
We invite students post their geothermal research on the Students’ Page. If you would like to include your research, please send a link if published, or PDF if not published (such as a final course project or Capstone project, etc), as well as the reference to admin@geothermalcanada.org. We welcome research from current and graduated students.

GreenFire Energy Inc. today announced the appointment of Andy Sabin Ph.D., geothermal subject matter expert (SME), U.S. Navy, to its Advisory Board. Dr. Sabin is an influential technical and policy expert in the geothermal industry and serves on the Board of Directors of the International Geothermal Association (IGA) and is the former president of Geothermal Rising (formerly the Geothermal Resources Council). His expertise will help GreenFire Energy to prioritize its many commercial opportunities.
