Petitcodiac, NB — Maritime Geothermal Ltd., manufacturer of the Nordic heat pump brand, receives $1.6 million to expand its Petitcodiac, N.B., facility. With this expansion, the facility will add 15,000 sq. ft., bringing the total to 45,000 sq. ft.

This expansion will help meet the growing demand for Canadian geothermal and air-source heat pump solutions, according to the press release.

“This expansion is about more than just square footage; it’s about responding to the urgent need for faster, more sustainable home construction,” said Jared Kaye, general manager of Maritime Geothermal Ltd.

As mentioned in the press release, this expansion will increase production capacity for Nordic’s air-source and geothermal heat pumps. This expansion will also create more jobs in the region.

Based in Petitcodiac, NB, Maritime Geothermal has provided heating solutions for over 40 years and manufactures Nordic heat pumps.

The expansion is expected to be completed in February. Funding was provided by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA).
