Kass completed their BASc in Geological Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan in 2012. They have an MSc degree in Sustainable Energy Development from the University of Calgary, completed in 2016. Their capstone project was evaluating the potential of using geothermal energy for combined heat and power in northern Indigenous communities.

Kass is an experienced Project Manager that works alongside Indigenous communities developing clean energy projects. They have over a decade of energy industry experience ranging from a background in petroleum engineering to their current role as a Project Manager in the renewable energy sector. Kass is currently the Geothermal Department Lead at Barkley Project Group and the Project Manager of the Tu Deh-Kah Geothermal Power Project owned by the Fort Nelson First Nation.
