Clarke Lake Geothermal Project has now become "Tu Deh-Kah Geothermal"; Tu Deh-Kah translates into "Water Steam" in English. FNFN artist Kerissa Dickie, owner of AIR Communications, developed the logo to visually highlight the force of water and heat and how its energy can be directed and engineered to create power that will warm the community's homes.

Fort Nelson First Nations Hold Blessing Ceremony for Future Tu Deh-Kah Geothermal Plant

A blessing ceremony was held this week at the Clarke Lake site for the future Tu Deh-Kah Geothermal plant. The project is 100 per cent owned by the Fort Nelson First Nation and will be B.C.’s first geothermal electricity.

Researchers are looking into whether water at the bottom of the former Con Gold Mine in the Northwest Territories, could be used to heat and cool an industrial park on the site.

DEEP Releases New Project Video: Geothermal Delineation Drilling in Progress

DEEP Earth Energy Production Corp. (the “Corporation” or “DEEP”) is pleased to announce
that drilling is currently underway on the Border-6 stratigraphic test well. The contract for the
drilling of this well has been awarded to Saskatchewan based Panther Drilling Corporation.

Hot and Cold Running Water in the Canadian Rockies

On September 18, 2021 Stephen Grasby from the Geological Survey of Canada will lead a one day field course to examine a series of springs systems along the Bow River Corridor in the Front Ranges of the Canadian Rockies. The course will look at the role structural geology plays in the occurrence of thermal springs and the influence of fault plane geometry on spring temperatures in a low heat flow setting.

University of Calgary Geothermal Energy Laboratory looking to fill two Postdoctoral Fellow positions

The U of C Geothermal Energy Laboratory is launching an exciting new project in collaboration with Eavor Technologies Inc., to optimize hard rock drilling for Advanced Geothermal Systems. This project seeks to develop robust and explainable machine learning software applications for the advanced geothermal systems developed at Eavor and a digital twin of the drilling system to help improve drilling operations and optimize drilling rate.
