2nd Canadian Geothermal Students' Days: June 21-22, 2021

The 1st CGSD at the University of Waterloo in 2019 was a big success- a summary and the Book of Abstracts is available here. The Canadian Geothermal Students’ Days (CGSD) Organizing Committee has announced that the 2nd CGSD will be help June 21-22, 2020 at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg. The theme of CGSD 2021 will be Geothermal Energy in Cold Climates, to showcase Canada’s leading role in the field of geothermal energy.

Registration is now open and Call for Abstracts is open with a deadline of Oct. 15, 2020.

Eavor Receives Ruggero Bertani European Geothermal Innovation Award 2020

The Ruggero Bertani European Geothermal Innovation Award 2020 has been awarded to Eavor and CarbFix. The award is an initiative of the European Geothermal Energy Council, in collaboration with Messe Offenburg (organisers of the GeoTHERM fair and congress) awarded to “companies which have made an outstanding contribution towards the field of geothermal energy in the form of innovative products, scientific research and project initiatives.”

We are pleased to announce our Board of Directors for 2020-2021. At this time, we would like to sincerely thank Grant Ferguson and Ryan Dick for their contributions to the board since Geothermal Canada was resurrected in 2017. The Board of Directors for 2020-2021 is as follows:
